The new version of SoliCall, released the last August, implement the new service of acoustic echo cancellation, I also remind that this is a excellent software for the recording of audio calls, SoliCall is a free software for private use.

SoliCall 1.4.1

About a years ago and more I wrote this little article regarding a software that improve the audio quality of calls with almost all softwares that implement this function.
In these days it has been released the 1.4.1 version, i didn't find out any document or changelog that describe the changes and improvements produced, but if you're using SoliCall, an upgrade is advised, the download page show many link to download the software, use just the first or second one because the other ones still have an old version.
It is recommended to uninstall the previous version before installing this last one.

SoliCall make us hear better

SoliCall is a small free application that integrate itself with your favourite VoIP software and, while we're speaking, by some particular audio filters, it reduce or eliminate unwanted background noises that could be sensed by the microphone or by another audio input used for making VoIP calls.
This software is very easy to configure, you just need to specify the audio source used for VoIP calls, SoliCall will filter the audio and "purify it" from possible background noises, rustles, etc.
The main setting to execute in your VoIP software, Skype, MSN Messenger, and others softwares that allow the vocal communication, will be to specify in the audio setting option window the device "SoliCall Audio Device", like as you have another audio card installed into your computer.
